Pan-African Youth Journal For The Africa We Want

Africa's first and most strategic youth-led journal of development was initiated by radical social reformers and development researchers under the aegis of the Young African Leaders Forum (YALF) in 2015. The journal's objective is to host the workable analysis and competing views about the development of the continent. Widely known as Young African Leaders Journal of Development (YALJOD), the journal is unique because of its practicability approach. Strategic development blueprints from it are presented to policy makers, stakeholders and leaders of civil society and non-governmental organisations for implementation in African communities and nations.

Every two years, YALJOD is launched in partnership with the African Union Commission at the headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The maiden edition of this biennial journal was first launched in 2016 before it was distributed into different universities and public libraries in the continent. The latest edition - which was launched in November 2018 in Addis Ababa - hosts more than 25 well-researched workable ideas which can be implemented for the sustainable prosperity of the continent.

The next edition of YALJOD will be launched at the African Union headquarters in 2020 - and call for papers would be published in September 2019. The journal is available in print and ebooks.
