Man Sets a Date to Walk on River Niger Like Jesus

Table of Contents

In an incredible show of confidence, a popular Pastor based in Nigeria's Southeast city of Onitsha has called on everyone to come witness his exploits at a set date. The spiritual director of Holy Ghost Intervention ministry, Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje said he will walk on the River.

The Onitsha Pastor informed his followers that he is going to replicate the acts of Jesus by walking on the River Niger on August 19 2019.

He has therefore called on Journalists to come and witness the great Miracle that is going to happen that very day.

River Niger is the principal river of western Africa. With a length of 2,600 miles (4,200 km), it is the third longest river in Africa, after the Nile and the Congo. The Niger is believed to have been named by the Greeks. It is however not clear if how many kilometers Chukwuemeka can trek on the water while his body floats. We don't really have to be too forward, August 19 is just around the corner.

Many folks who engage in stunts to display their supernatural abilities have ended up losing their lives and for those lucky to remain alive, they lost their followership. This isn't particularly peculiar to Africa, stunts display by magicians, pastors and Shamans cuts across the metaphysical world.

I can still recall a case of Prophet Daniel Abodunrin, who in 1991 wanted to demonstrate something that had never been done before. His plan was to replicate what was written in the Holy Bible thousands of years ago. It was the story of a Jewish boy in Jerusalem named Daniel who was captured by King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon who served in the king’s court until the time of Cyrus, the Persian emperor. Daniel miraculously survived the lions' den to the amazement of the king.

Unfortunately, this Daniel was not so lucky at the University of Ibadan zoo when he stepped in and was eventually eaten by lions.

The Prophet is yet to deny the claims.

Good luck to the prophet this time around, for me there's still more solid ground to walk.
