Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for Doctoral Study in Canada ($50,000 per year)

The Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships 2021 is now open. The Government of Canada launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) program in 2008 to strengthen Canada’s ability to attract and retain world-class doctoral students and establish Canada as a global centre of excellence in research and higher learning.
Vanier Scholars demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of scholarly achievement in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities, natural sciences and/or engineering and health.
Scholarship Value
- Valued at $50,000 per year for three years during doctoral studies
- Up to 166 scholarships are awarded annually
- A total of up to 500 scholarships are active at any time.

RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Scholarship for PhD Students (up to £2,000)
Application Deadline: November 23, 2020
Applications for the RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards 2020 are now open. The Society offers awards of up to £2,000 for PhD students undertaking fieldwork/data collection to advance geographical knowledge. These awards, offered to individuals, aim to help students establish themselves in their particular field.
The RGS-IBG Postgraduate Research Awards were established in 2008 to support PhD students undertaking research and fieldwork. The Awards include Albert Reckitt Awards, Walters Kundert Grants, the Geographical Club Award, Hong Kong Research Grants and the Dudley Stamp Memorial Award.
Award
- Up to £2,000 is awarded for PhD students undertaking fieldwork/data collection to advance geographical knowledge.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be a PhD student
- Must be registered at a UK Higher Education Institution
- Preference is given to students who do not receive full funding from a research council, university or comparable levels of support from other sources for fieldwork and data collection.

To apply, complete the RGS-IBG grants programme application form and send this by email to the Society’s Grants Officer via [email protected] by 23.59 on November 23.

Learn Africa Scholarship for African Female Students 2020
Application Deadline: July 25, 2020
Applications are open for the Learn Africa Program 2020. The program Learn Africa aims to promote the transfer of knowledge, exchange and training of African female students through scholarships offered by Spanish universities.
Since 2013 and up to now, 153 African female students from 34 countries have been beneficiaries of this program and have studied different subjects and levels at 40 Spanish universities, 1 Portuguese and 2 educational centers in Morocco.
Eligibility
- Be a woman and have the nationality of an African country
- Be enrolled in an African university or have a university degree issued in an African country
- Meet the specific requirements and technical/technologic material of each type of scholarship
- Only one application per person

UG-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship for Postgraduate Study at the University of Ghana

Applications are open for the UG-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2020/2021 for Postgraduate Study at the University of Ghana.
The University of Ghana Students Financial Aid Office (SFAO) is accepting applications for the award of the UG-Tullow Tertiary Scholarship Scheme 2020/2021 for both undergraduate and graduate students in relevant academic fields who are exceptionally brilliant but with dire financial needs.
The UG-Tullow Scholarship is a full scholarship covers:
- Tuition, stipend/subsistence/health insurance
- Modest subsidy for equipment (Laptop computer)
- Accommodation for students pursuing 4 years undergraduate programmes and 1 year master’s programmes (but in exceptional circumstances may also include 2 years M.Phil programmes)
- The award recipients are expected to maintain excellent academic standards of at least a B average or 3.0 CGPA in order to be in good standing to keep the Scholarship

HSE University Moscow, Faculty of Economic Sciences Scholarships
Application Deadline: August 14, 2020
The HSE University Moscow, Faculty of Economic Sciences is offering Scholarships/Master to graduates of 2020 and earlier.
Two year master programs in economics, finance, and data science taught in English. HSE University is Russia’s only university in the U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings in Economics and Social Sciences. We award scholarships for the most prepared and motivated candidates (however, the number of offers is limited).
The fees are between 0-2500-3750-5000 EURO per academic year and the scholarships offered are for full tuition fee, 50% and 25% tuition fee. The prizes are 5,000 EURO, 2,500 EURO and 1250 EURO.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship 2020-21(Fully Funded)
The Swiss Government has opened its calls for international students to study in its university under the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship.
Every year the Swiss Government awards International applicants who wish to study in its universities to promote international exchange and cooperation.
The scholarship aims to support students to study masters or PhD at zero cost.
Types of Scholarship
- Research Scholarship: this scholarship is available for students who are planning to pursue research or further their study in doctoral or postdoctoral level.
- Art Scholarship: is opened for students wishing to pursue their master’s degree in the field of art in Switzerland.
Coverage of the Scholarship
The Swiss Government Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship which means all the expenses will be covered by the Swiss Government.

Apply now for Malaysian scholarships for Africans (£56,000 per student)
The Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has launched a new scholarship at the King Henry VIII College in Selangor, Malaysia.
One of the first recipients was 16-year-old Scot Choo, the son of a pilot who died when Malaysian plane MH17 was shot down over Ukraine in 2014. The Secretary-General officially presented Scot with his award.
