GIZ-CCCPIR Climate Finance Officer Employment Opportunity
The GIZ –Regional Programme on Coping with Climate Change in the Pacific Island Region (CCCPIR) is looking for a highly motivated candidate for the position of Climate Finance Officer to be located at the Pacific Island Forum Secretariat (PIFS) Office in Suva.
The Climate Finance Officer will provide support to the GIZ Climate Finance Specialist and Public Finance Management (PFM) in strengthening the capacity of Pacific Island Countries to access climate finance.
Responsibilities
The Climate Finance Officer will:
- Provide support to the management, monitoring and evaluation of CCCPIR’s component on Climate Finance and PFM
- Provide support in conducting background research and provide support to climate finance and related assessments
- Provide targeted technical assistance and training to address key capacity gaps and needs as required
- Provide support in the development of socially-inclusive project proposals as required particularly;
- Conduct research to support the development of research, policy briefs and analysis (including gender analysis) relating to climate finance for decision makers as required
- Support peer-to-peer exchange between countries and document lessons from these exchanges;
- Support the organisation of key stakeholder events and workshops targeting senior government officials from the Ministries of Finance, Planning and ministries responsible for climate change
- Support partner coordination as required, in particular with PFTAC, SPC and SPREP
- Perform other duties as required

United Nations Communications and Results Reporting Internship Programme 2020
Applications are open for the United Nations Communications and Results Reporting Internship Programme 2020.
The position is located in the Communications and Results Reporting Section (CRRS) of the United Nations Development Coordination Office (DCO) Headquarters in New York.
The internship is for six (6) months at maximum and UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (35-40 hours) under the direct supervision of a staff member in CRRS.
Responsibilities
- Identifying, researching, drafting and editing content (text, photos, documents and multimedia) for online publication (website and social media)
- Maintaining content on websites, official social media accounts and other official digital communication outlets presences according to established policies
- Entering and reviewing information utilised on data-sharing and knowledge management platforms utilised across the Resident Coordinator System
- Creating and editing infographics or social videos for posting on official digital communication outlets
- Contribute to strategies for more effective audience engagement across digital channels
- Assisting in posting content on knowledge management platforms and community of practice utilised by the Section
Eligibility
- Applicant must be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
- Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one year period of graduation
- Be computer literate in standard software applications

The Human Projects is currently seeking several remote interns for Summer 2020.
Interns can apply to work on several projects including developing human rights educational programs, assisting with the translation of human rights educational materials, and assisting with researching and interviewing changemakers for the Young Changemakers Archive.
The Human Projects is a global nonprofit empowering young leaders to solve human rights issues in their own communities and providing innovative human rights educational programs to schools and nonprofits around the world.

- Organize online and in-person events for the public to highlight the work of Pulitzer Center journalists and partners
- Build out community-facing programs in regions across the U.S. where the Pulitzer Center is developing new partnerships
- Assist in organization of online and in-person visits by journalists and staff with their more than 35 campus partners
- Write and post blogs related to events and Campus Consortium partnerships
- Work to increase diversity within our campus network by strengthening our partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and community colleges, and by expanding to campuses within regions and within communities not well represented
- Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials and resource videos for online and in-person events and visits in conjunction with the communications team
- Participate in planning and coordination of the Pulitzer Center’s Annual Conference. Conference themes have included gender, conflict transformation, religion and, for 2020, justice (which evolved into an online summer series because of COVID-19)
- Provide database and audience list support for events and related outreach
