Mbagathi Road on Monday was blocked by students from Kenyatta Golf Course Academy, protesting the demolition of their school.
Placing the desks and sitting on them across the road, the students caused a massive traffic jam along the highway before voluntarily before giving way to motorists.
Led by their teachers, they continually chanted, “We want our school, we want our school, we need to study in school!”
The school was demolished over the weekend following a land dispute.
Parents also joined in the protest to express their frustrations after paying school fees.
It is alleged the teachers had not received a notice to vacate the property before demolition.
