Tips to Get Comfortable While Gaming

Table of Contents

PC gaming, unlike console gaming can make you to feel fatigued, and your back and rear end could also hurt. This may be due to the fact that sitting in a PC chair is not comfortable. The chairs are hard and there’s no enough leg room. Gaming, be it console or PC could also cause repetitive strain injuries as a result of repetitive movements. This article will identify the areas of your body that can be affected as well as provide you with the best possible solutions for ensuring that you stay healthy and comfortable as you play your favorite games.

Areas mostly affected

Shoulders, Neck, and back

Other areas that are most affected are the shoulders, neck and the back as a result of poor sitting. Poor seating is known to cause strain on the upper and lower back. The best solution would be to use a high-quality gaming chair. Such a chair will ensure that you are maintaining not only a healthy posture but also enhance your comfort even if you play for a long duration. Also, try to ensure that your feet are flat to the floor, while your knees and this are slightly lower than your hips. Your arms, hands, and wrist should be parallel to the floor and ensure that they are supported by armrests.

Hands

Your hands, arms, forearms, and wrists are prone to wear and tear on the muscles and tendons as a result of performing the same action repeatedly. This happens for both game consoles, and PC gaming. Also the Gamers grip, and Nintendo thumb can cause the same effects. To prevent wrist injury, you can do a couple of stretching exercises before you begin your gaming session. Other valuable stretch would be the prayer stretch, and the flexor stretch. Opening and closing your finger is also a recommended exercise.

Investing in two metal bearings that you can roll in your hands will improve your dexterity and make your hands strong. But most importantly, use a controller, plug your PC into your TV or use a stream link. A stream controller works great for most games. It’s also an excellent idea to mount your TV on ceiling and lay with your back.

Blood Circulation

Sitting in a certain position for a long time could affect your blood circulation. Also, it can cause diseases like obesity. To take care of this, you should take a break after an hour of gaming. During the break you can stretch and walk for up to 10 minutes. Such walking and stretching will not only improve your blood circulation, but also refresh you altogether.

Eye Strain

When your eyes keep fixated on the screen, it may result to headaches, blurred vision, Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), and nearsightedness. Regular breaks, and adjusting the distance and height of your screen may be helpful. Also, you should adjust your rooms lighting to eliminate glare.

The above points can go a long way to ensure that you maintain the right posture, health, and get comfortable as while gaming.
