If you just got engaged, you will be sharing the good news through an Instagram, Twitter or Facebook ring selfie. While you'll not be into mirror selfies, post-workout selfies or duck-face selfies, the engagement ring selfie has become a sacred must. 

1. Lighting is everything 

If you are not outside, find a spot of natural light by a window. Try to avoid direct sunlight, just natural daylight. Taking a photo in a dimly lit room will give you a blurry image. Slightly yellow or fluorescent lights are also not ideal. Whether you're inside or outdoors, also take care not to cast a shadow over frame.

2. Know thy ring
