In Libya, the definition of "Western democracy" is laid bare for all to see. Western democracy is dilapidated infrastructure, destroyed homes, and displaced populations. It also leaves a vibrant slave trade in its wake after destroying the backbone of the state. Kindly note that this monster only does this in foreign lands that have resources; back at home in the West, it is a tame white horse. What we have are, therefore, pictures of what this chameleonic monster can do to whole foreign countries. It was the case in the Middle East (particularly Iraq) and Libya will not be the last victim. Western democracy is not democracy at all.
When this ruthless Western "salvation" comes in, only the blue sky remains untouched but that is not deliberate; it is only because the skies are beyond the reach of NATO missiles.

At least "Western democracy" spares trees as evidenced by the growing tree close to the building on the right. Unfortunately, saving lives and homes is just not as important as going green.

Notably, there are a few more cars on this picture, thank you Hillary Clinton and Nicolas Sarkozy? However, the buildings are a shadow of their old selves and that is unforgivable!

From a higher vantage point, Libya with "democracy" and "freedom" is now clearly free of one thing: development. It is particularly telling that the man the West branded a despot was at least decent enough to keep these buildings together while the vanguards of democracy, free speech, and all other politically appealing buzzwords simply bomb and leave.

The pictures of this young man in Libya's Benghazi were featured on the Libya unofficial twitter handle. For more pictures of Libya before NATO intervention, visit this site.
