The confederation of African football(CAF) that is mandated to administer and control African football the executive meeting held on 30th June 2020 to find solutions to wide range of questions that surrounded the future f several scheduled events in the African football given the fact that corona-virus pandemic has ht hard most African states and this has twisted the original plan

"the total African cup of nations Cameroon 2021 has been rescheduled for 2022. The date for the final tournament and remaining matches will be communicated in due course" CAF in an official statement issued out on the night of June 30th. the same competition which was supposed to take place in Cameroon in 2018 but was hosted in Egypt under reasons such as delays in construction the stadiums among others and this one has been halted COVID19 pandemic ,which means the organisations and locals who had started businesses targeting the competition have to stand losses or wait to realize their anticipated business goals as the competition attracts millions of different economic players
Total CHAN
''Total African championship(CHAN) Cameroon 2020 has been postponed till January 2021" CAF said in the official statement . the competition is meant for African teams whose players play their commercial professional football in local leagues of Africa. It has often provided platforms for the scouting and discovery of several talents that could go on and shine in outside world and the postponement comes as bad news to the players who where looking forward to launch their breakthrough
Other decisions that came though included the resumption of inter-club competitions 2019/20 in September with the semi-final matches and the said semi-final matches will be played in a single match. the affected inter-club competitions are .The Total CAF champions league and Total CAF confederation cup . the venue for the Total CAF champions league will be communicated later while Morocco will host the final four tiers of the total CAF confederations cup
The 2020 edition of the women's Africa cup of nations has been cancelled due to challenging conditions and the CAF women's champions league will be launched in 2021 and the format plus other details re set to be communicated in the due course
