James Jesse

Dr. James Jesse is a Lecturer of Law at the University of Dar es Salaam, School of Law (Formerly Faculty of Law). He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree and a Master’s of Laws (LL.M) degree of the University of Dar es Salaam. He also holds a second master’s degree (LL.M) in International Human Rights Law from the School of Law of the University of Notre Dame, U.S. which he obtained in May 2008. Above it all, he holds a PhD in Human Rights and Good Governance from the University of Dar es Salaam. Dr. Jesse’s areas of teaching include Human Rights Law, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. He has great interest in human rights and public law (Constitutional law and Administrative Law). His areas of publication are largely human rights based. A recent publication is a book entitled “Some Basic Principles on Human Rights and Selected Cases.”
