Uganda's long serving president, Yoweri Museveni, has said being president for long is not a bad thing as it has gained him more experience.
The 72 year-old was speaking on Tuesday during the State of Nation Address in parliament, where he told off opposition who were ranting as he spoke in a three hour long session according to the Observer.
“Being president for a very long time is not a bad thing. That is why I am experienced. Even if you woke me at night, I will tell you what is happening. If you want to be a leader, you should avoid prejudice because prejudice can make you live with envy and you will end up getting high blood pressure,” he said.
This is not the first time Yoweri Museveni has defended his 31 years in power.
