Magistrate Greenwell Mulamani has found Zambian Leader accused of treason not guilty of insulting police officers.
The judge said the police officers were inconsistent in their testimonials hence proved unreliable. The officers were the only witnesses in the case.
Mr. Mulamani ordered the arrest of officers for lying under oath. They were also asked to apologize for misleading the court.
Meanwhile, the treason case against Mr. Hakainde Hichilema is set for 22 May.
The economist and wealthy business man was arrested for allegedly obstructing a motorcade of President Edgar Lungu.
