Traveling is the most liberating experience you can get, and once you get going, there’s nothing out there that can stop you. Everyone should see at least some portion of the world, it’s no good spending your whole life in the same corner that you were born in. At first, the idea of going to new countries is scary, you don’t know anyone there and you’re on your own if you need help. You have to find a way to get more comfortable with the idea of being away from home, that way you can allow yourself to experience the freedom of traveling freely. There’s so much to be experienced in the world, and you can’t experience it without moving around.
- Off the trail vacation
Going abroad can be quite the adventure in itself, but when you’re being led around by a guide, it’s quite difficult to get away from all of the other tourists. It’s hard to experience something new and original when you’re being shown the same thing as the thousands of tourists around you! You don’t have to book a destination package with everything included; you can make your own plans and do what you want and feel like when you’re there! It’s nice to have the freedom to do what you want, and you should have that when you’re on holiday! Maybe you want to spend the day relaxing instead of going out, maybe you want to visit a place you saw being advertised - the choice is up to you!
- Vacationing alone
Not many people get to experience it, but traveling alone is great for many reasons. A lot of people will shy away from the idea of solo traveling because it’s far too uncomfortable for them to do it alone. Not only do you not have anyone to rely on when you’re out there, but you need to be able to enjoy your own company. It can be lonely in another country if you’re able to enjoy your own company, so when you have that figured out; solo traveling is something you should try at least once! You don’t have to worry about the wants of another person, and you can go where you want when you want!
- Moving abroad
We all need a bit of adventure here and there, but for some people, a small experience isn’t enough to fuel them. Moving abroad opens you up to a lot of exciting options and possible experiences! You can try new cultures, and understand what it’s like to live in another country! Of course, you have to consider the language barriers, income, and settlement complications; but those are all solvable! You could get indefinite leave to remain for asylum seekers sorted out by a lawyer, and the rest is up to you to deal with! It will be a lot of paperwork and effort to get everything else covered, but if it opens the door to adventure - any amount of effort is worth it!
