Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey, visited Africa for the first time this year. His trip included Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa. In a farewell tweet to the continent, Dorsey announced he would be moving to Africa next year.
"Sad to be leaving the continent...for now," he tweeted, "Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I'll be living here for 3-6 months mid 2020. Grateful I was able to experience a small part."
The Twitter exec's trip in Africa involved meeting entrepreneurs. He was in Ethiopia this week.
Dorsey is not the only high profile executive to show recent interest in Africa. Jack Ma, former Alibaba Group Chairman, was also in Ethiopia this week where he signed an agreement to establish a new trade platform.
