Ogweno Stephen is a Kenyan youth who has been championing the global health agenda and has made significant contributions to the Kenyan health space. Now, he is spreading his innovative ideas to Rwanda through the LifeSten Health Company.
As the founder of Stowelink, a non-profit organization committed to raising awareness about non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and promoting health in Africa, Stephen has been recognized for his advocacy work on NCD prevention and management. He recently joined the Governing Council of NCD Child, a global coalition focused on preventing and managing NCDs in children, adolescents, and young people.
In addition to his advocacy work, Stephen has also founded Lifesten Health Company, which aims to provide innovative health solutions to communities in Africa. Lifesten Health is an all-in-one health companion. With the app, you can track your health progress, receive personalized wellness insights, and access a range of screening services - from mental health to chronic disease risk. The app has proprietary transdermal optical imaging technology which allows you to monitor your vital signs with just your smartphone camera, making it easy to keep tabs on your health from the comfort of your home. The app also features a social community where users can connect with like-minded individuals and receive support on their wellness journey.

Lifesten Health Company recently launched its services in Rwanda, with plans to expand to other African countries. The platform has already received positive feedback from users, who have praised its user-friendly interface and the convenience of accessing health services from their mobile devices.
Stephen's work has not gone unnoticed, and he has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including being named a Top 35 Under 35 youth in Kenya in 2022 by The ministry of Youth Affairs.
Speaking about his latest innovation, Stephen said, "We are excited to bring our innovative health solutions to Rwanda and help improve access to quality healthcare services. Our platform is designed to empower individuals to take charge of their health and make informed decisions about their well-being."
With Stephen's leadership and dedication, it is clear that he will continue to make a significant impact in the global health space. As more people become aware of his innovative solutions and advocacy work, it is hoped that more individuals and organizations will join in the fight against NCDs and work towards a healthier and more equitable world.
