Inserting into the Editor

At The African Exponent, we care a lot about the speed of loading our pages. Too many media embeds on one article slows down the load speed of an article by a significant amount. Research shows that users leave the site without reading an article if it takes too long to load. This will not increase your reputation as an author, and certainly our site’s rank will not grow. The purpose of media embeds is NOT to make an article look fancy. Only include media embeds if they provide meaning and help to convey your message to the reader.

Follow the following steps to insert media embeds into your post.

Insert into Editor 1 Insert into Editor 2 Insert into Editor 3 insert into Editor 4

Deleting embedded media

To delete any embedded media content, place the cursor at the beginning of the next line (next paragraph) and press the left button on your keyboard until the cursor appears on the right on the embedded media. You can then use backspace to delete it as any other text.

That’s it!
