Let me start by indicating that I am neither a faggot nor punk, and I do not support anybody who practices such nasty and outrageous lifestyle. As a result, the view expressed herein is squarely based on my conclusion that the wave of mudslinging by elements of the Unity Party against George Werner indicates that the propaganda team of the party is found wanting.
Again, I posit that while cultural diffusion and its attendant complement of cultural universalism are tolerated in this globalized world, where the world has become a one place by the interconnectedness of many things such as market, the economy, collective security, migration and social integration. However, every society has a unique set of values that must be protected by such society. That is why as African people we categorically reject the introduction of this western obsession duped as the protection of the rights of lesbian, Gay, bisexual and transgender.
Under the doctrine of self-determination in international relations, a nation is a free entity that exercises power within their territorial limitation void of outside influence, which is geared at diluting its power. Similarly, this applies in context to the misconception of ethnocentrism, out of which the western obsession of gay rights emerges.
Yesterday, the propaganda machinery of the Unity Party went weirdly ballistic and hyper extreme when a simple rebuttal of Vice President Joseph Boakai’s insipid ‘racing car’ analogy was shattered and disfigured by a short and pointed retort by George Werner. Although I am not a fan of this disgraced minister, I tend to side with him on the question of the ‘racing car.’ The Vice President screwed up and the stooges of the Unity Party must accept it, and stop putting on a brave face.
I thought the media team of the UP would have dealt with the rebuttal of Werner. I thought the elements in the UP would have subjected the antithesis of George Werner to surgical dissection, thus pointing out the contradiction in his submission. I thought the folks in the UP who pontificate on every subject would have demolished the write-out of Werner. I thought the war room of the party would have submitted a beautiful narrative to the readership of social media in stark opposite to what was proffered by Werner.
Instead, we were bombarded with hypocritical red herrings and patent gibberish that exposed the duplicity of elements in the ranks of the Unity Party. From their torrent of ballistic hot air, I can say that these individuals are wholly dishonest and grossly insincere. For somebody like me, I am not impressed by their garbage.
Elements in the ranks of the Unity Party saturated social media with the claim that George Werner is a gay. This rumor simmered for a longtime, but the ones who are pointing fingers at him yesterday defended and argued on the contrary that the disgraced minister is not a gay. In fact, they defended the minister like Christians defending their faith. Had George Werner not rebutted the ‘racing car’ analogy of the Vice President would they opened up on his abnormal sexual preference? This is sheer hypocrisy and duplicity!
