Conservation Ecology is about African wildlife and conservation is highly diverse. The vastness of the continent is matched only by its biodiversity. As Africans we are tasked with accepting ourselves as we are and recapturing some of the positive aspects of our cultures. These aspects include tending to our wildlife. We thus need to appreciate the influence of political history and current social dynamics on conservation and wildlife management.
With Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) development and socio-economic empowerment at stake, African governing bodies are tasked with protecting African interests and intellect.
